Who do you trust the service and repair of your car?
N ยบ. I'm not looking for specific names of repair shops car. But more interested in what criteria are used to decide the mechanic has his own vehicle in the service and why. thx. 1) Just go to the dealership for repairs? 2) Choose mechanical short distance from the house? 3) Ask your friends / family to return to? 4) Do-depth assessment – advantages and disadvantages of a Store instead?
ME! I live in the country and service center in the 50 km is the local Co-op garage in our town. Its mechanical Olde School and an excellent producer, but usually too busy repairing farm machinery and it takes six weeks for the holidays this time of year. So I ended doing most of my own work. Jacked the old Sunfire yesterday and pulled back a complete replacement, including a support plate. I have a Jaguar 50 sports and some other vehicles varied than I do most of my own work. I have two new vehicles to be driven or towed 50 miles distributors but because they have guaranteed. My next project is a completely rebuilt back in the Jaguar, but most of which will be sent "made in other places and I can not specialized tools. My wife hates when I work on his car because "doing" (read is twice as long). LOL. SO: 1) Only go to the dealer for repair? – Rarely, unless it is guaranteed. commercial service rates tend to be higher than independent shops and fourth part of the work is done by apprentices – Warning! 2) Choose the engineer a short distance from your home? – Who is always best. Keep working in your community 3) Ask friends / family to send one? – Of course! 4) complete evaluation – if possible get references – they do some simple procedures first.
