I spilled water on my cell phone speaker and now volume is too low, what can I do?

I spilled a glass of water on my table, and my phone was sitting there. The speaker is on top and of course it got wet. I turned it off, took out the battery and dried it. When I turned it back on everything worked fine, but the outer speaker that got wet (that’s the ringer, speakerphone, etc.) is way lower than it used to be! And it’s on the highest setting.

buy a bluetooth headset
by a wired headset
or buy a new phone
it would probably cost more to get it fixed then to buy a new phone.
