Unlocking phones to work with U.S. cellular?

I know that U.S. Cellular is a CDMA programming. So lets face it: your choice phone absolutely sucks! but I like the coverage and my plan with them. Just a regular flip phone from LG bored and wondered if I could buy an unlocked phone and Internet use with U.S. Cellular. USCellular So I called and asked if I could. They said yes, but the phone can operate for an hour and then inside would not work because your network is different. so I do not know if I can trust them, but someone has done this? I really like to get a phone great with U.S. Cellular as the Samsung F700 or LG chocolate only. better than now I have something! Some other phones are: Pantech (sp?) Duo and the passenger or Venus. let me know if you've tried this or have any information that might be useful. thanks!
