When mixing Carrier Oils & Essential Oils for skin remedies are their any harmful combinations?
When mixing Carrier Oils & Essential Oils for skin remedies are their any harmful combinations. I know that some oils are toxic in high purity and to make sure to use enough carrier oil but are their any harmful combinations that can be bad, my mom keeps telling me I need to be cautious what I mix. I never really though I would have to think much about it because its natural oils.
Mom is right.
With the exception of Lavender (which can be used neat on burns and pimples and such) they all need to be diluted, and you do need to be careful with what you combine.
After all, chemistry is derived from nature….A good essential oil can have any where between 80 and 3,000 chemicals in it.
