What is progressive rock of the 21st century? What groups or soloists do?
When I was young, there were some good bands play it we have called "progressive rock" (or Prog Rock). Bands like King Crimson, Yes, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull and Gentle Giant played an intelligent type rock to break boundaries and make music to listen – not simply to move your feet. My question is: What is Prog Rock today? I know some of these groups in the above list (or at least members of the band) has today – but Prog Rock created by youth groups, and was a breakthrough – which do not say "listen to Peter Hammill – Yes, but not new, and I'm looking for new things – what happens now. Years ago, I think the answer was grunge, but I think it's just that I like rock (grunge Progressive was not too heavy on guitar). What do you think? When the music does not move his head, feet? Porcupine Tree is the modern Floyd IMO. ** I'm sure if I will answer your question, but I think are the best of prog rock to come some time.
